NEWBERRY, S.C. (Jan. 28, 2016) - D2Wrestle.com recently put out its latest set of regional rankings, and the LIU Post wrestling team stood pat in eighth in Super Region I.

Last Thursday, the Pioneers routed American International College, 46-6, to improve to 8-10 in duals in 2015-16. Four different grapplers recorded wins via pinfall for the green and gold, while two others majored their opposition.

Sophomore Joe Calderone (Huntington Station, N.Y.) remained second in the 133-lb. poll. He currently boasts a record of 14-3 since Dec. 4, including an 11-2 mark in duals.

Junior Vinny Turano (Wantagh, N.Y.), who is riding a 12-match winning streak, skyrocketed from No. 6 to No. 3 at 141 lbs. He earned his third technical fall of the month last Thursday, besting AIC's Scott Coleman, 18-2.

Sophomores Ronnie King (Islip, N.Y.) and James Louison (Hauppauge, N.Y.), both coming off back-to-back victories via pinfall, individually ranked sixth at 184 lbs. and heavyweight.
