BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 1, 2016) 
- The LIU Post men's and women's cross country teams had a combined five runners finish in the Top-10 on Saturday at the LIU Post Invitational in Brookville.

The women's squad won their second-straight race, while the men's team was third out of 10 programs.

For the women, junior Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) won the 5k in a program-record 17:48.87. Graduate Ashlin Conroy (Syosset, N.Y.) followed in second, crossing at 19:15.35.

Freshman Nicolette Agostinacchio (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed 10th (20:47.63). Sophomore Kaitie Schillaci (Albany, N.Y.) and freshman Alexandria Okon (Laurel, Md.) individually clocked 13th- and 16th-place runs of 21:23.30 and 21:26.95.

The men's team was led by freshman Jeffrey Reyes (Bay Shore, N.Y.), who came in fifth (26:58.69) in the 8k. Junior Ryan Gioe (Huntington Station, N.Y.) posted a seventh-place time of 27:08.85.

Sophomore Joseph Ranni (Deer Park, N.Y.) and senior Tyler McGarvey (Babylon, N.Y.) respectively finished 14th (27:59.6) and 15th (28:02.57). Senior Stefan Adams (Jamaica, N.Y.) added a 32nd-place time of 30:18.07.

Head Coach Kevin Buckley and the Pioneers are back in action Friday (Oct. 7), when they compete at the Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
