Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) was chosen as the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Slane tallied a team-high six goals and six assists in a pair of wins for the Pioneers. He opened the week with a seven-point outburst (3 G, 4 A) in a 16-3 win at Georgian Court University last Tuesday (Mar. 8), and followed that up with a five-point showing (3 G, 2 A) in a 9-7 victory at Molloy College on Saturday (Mar. 12).
Slane currently paces the green and gold and ranks second in the ECC in scoring with 29 points (16 G, 13 A). His 13 helpers are tied for second-best amongst the league's assist leaders, while Slane's 16 goals are tied for third-most in the conference.
Slane and the Pioneers wrap up their four-game road trip Saturday (Mar. 19), when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. for a 7 p.m. opening faceoff at ECC foe Chestnut Hill College.
