PERRY, N.Y. (May 24, 2016) - On Tuesday, LIU Post men's lacrosse senior attackman
Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) and senior midfielder
Anthony Berardis (Mahopac, N.Y.) were selected to participate in the 2016 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/Nike Divisions I-II North-South All-Star Game.
Slane and Berardis, both of whom were named to the All-East Coast Conference First Team, helped the Pioneers to their fourth-consecutive ECC title in 2016 and a spot in the national quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
In his final campaign, Slane led the green and gold and ranked second in the ECC in scoring with 72 points (47 goals, 25 assists). His 47 tallies and 25 helpers were individually second- and third-most amongst the league's leaders.
Meanwhile, Berardis collected 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points this season. Over his final four games, he had 14 points (six goals, eight assists), accounting for one-third of his total scoring output for the year.
The 2016 USILA/Nike Divisions I-II North-South All-Star Game will be held on Friday (May 27) at 5:30 p.m. at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.
