Beccaris Honored as USILA Scholar All-American

PERRY, N.Y. (Jun. 13, 2016) - Over the weekend, LIU Post men's lacrosse senior attackman Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.) was tabbed as a 2016 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Scholar All-American.

Beccaris, who was one of only 11 student-athletes from Division II to be recognized, completed his four-year tenure with a 3.41 cumulative grade-point average and recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

In his senior season, Beccaris tallied 38 goals and 18 assists for 56 points, the third-highest scoring output on the team. He was named to the All-East Coast Conference Second Team and earned a nod as a USILA All-America Honorable Mention.

Furthermore, Beccaris etched his name into the Pioneer record books on Apr. 30, when he broke the program's career goal mark on Apr. 30, surpassing former head coach and LIU Post Athletic Hall of Famer Tom Postel.
