BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2016) - On Saturday, the LIU Post women's soccer team won its third-straight game, shutting out Merrimack College, 3-0, in a non-conference tilt at Pioneer Soccer Park.
The Pioneers (5-2-1) challenged Merrimack (3-2-2) junior goalie Molly Meehan (Fairfield, Conn.) from the start, and broke through for the contest's opening goal in the 38th minute.

Julia Duffy (Oceanside, N.Y.) finished a
Sarah McGarry (Islip, N.Y.) pass into the upper right corner of the net to give the hosts a 1-0 halftime cushion.
During the latter period, LIU Post kept up the offensive intensity, and struck for a pair of goals in the final 6:23 to close out the scoring.
Sophomore forward
Isabella Fuduli (East Meadow, N.Y.) doubled the Pioneers' lead in the 84th minute, after heading a shot into an open net.

Hillevi Eklow (Väröbacka, Sweden) made three saves for LIU Post. Meehan stopped 11 shots for Merrimack.
The Pioneers held a dominant 21-9 advantage in shots. They also earned 10 corner kicks to the Warriors' three.
