CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2017) - On Monday, LIU Post freshmen jumpers Twary McKenzie (Huntington, N.Y.) and Nicole Costanzo (Nesconset, N.Y.) were named the East Coast Conference Men's and Women's Field Athlete of the Week, respectively.

McKenzie posted a second-place finish in the triple jump at the Collegeville Classic on Saturday (Jan. 21). He recorded a season-best leap of 13.04 meters (42 feet, 9.5 inches), and narrowly missed winning the event by seven inches.

Meanwhile, Costanzo came in third in the long jump, eclipsing a height of 1.50 meters (4 feet, 11 inches). That mark tied her season-best from the Yale Invitational on Jan. 14.

McKenzie, Costanzo and the Pioneers are back in action on Friday, Feb. 3, when they compete at the Metropolitan Championships at noon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
