Brookville, NY| Junior Hillevi Eklow, senior Kristen Breihof, and sophomore Gabrielle Clark of the LIU Post women's soccer team were included on the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-East Region First-Teams, where were released on Wednesday afternoon.
LIU Post placed three members on the All-East Region First-Team, the most in the ECC.
Eklow, who was named ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, has played every minute in net during the Pioneers' 17-3-1 season. She made 80 saves in net to compile a conference second-best .851 save percentage and 0.66 goals against average. Her numbers were among the best in the country as well, ranking 30th in goals against average.
Breihof, the ECC Defender of the Year, is the anchor of the league's stingiest defense. With Breihof locking down the opponents' top scorer, the Pioneers have allowed just 14 goals on the season. In addition to her defensive prowess, Breihof ranks fourth in the conference with six assists on the season.
Clark, who was named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team last week, earns her first All-East Region recognition after being named to the ECC All-Conference Second-Team earlier this year. Clark, is currently tied for second on the team in goals (9) and fourth points (19).
The Pioneers are back in action Friday (Nov. 16), when they face second-seeded Mercy College in the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship. The opening kick is set for 2 p.m.
