BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The LIU Post men's lacrosse team announced the release of its schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. The Pioneers begin the season with a pair of home scrimmages at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium before opening up regular season play.

The Green and Gold kickoff the 2018 campaign on the road, heading to Springfield, Mass. for a non-conference tilt at American Int'l on Feb. 17. 

One week later, the Pioneers begin a three-game stretch in which they face three 2017 NCAA Tournament squads beginning with their home opener on Feb. 24 against Adelphi University. Following the matchup with the Panthers is a pair of road contests at Pace (Mar. 3) and Merrimack (Mar.10), the 2017 National Runner-Up.

"We have put together what we feel is a very competitive schedule for our 2018 campaign," stated Head Coach Eric Wolf.  "Our out of conference contests will all be challenging, including three NCAA tournament teams from 2017.  We are also looking forward to the competition within the ECC.  I am pumped to get going in 2018."

LIU Post opens East Coast Conference action on Mar. 21 as it hosts the University of the District of Columbia. 

Three of the next four games will be played in Brookville, while a trio of conference contests close out the regular season for the Green and Gold as it heads to Molloy (Apr. 11) and NYIT (Apr. 21) before finishing up with Mercy on Apr. 28. Last year, each of these match-ups took place as the Pioneers' opponent was ranked in the top-20 nationally.
