Women's Lacrosse Stays Put at No. 4 in IWLCA Division II Poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. (Mar. 6, 2017) - On Monday, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team remained at No. 4 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Poll.

The Pioneers, who amassed 330 points in the voting, lost their first game of the 2017 season on Saturday (Mar. 4) to No. 3 Le Moyne, 10-6.

Senior attacker Connor Bird (Syosset, N.Y.) tallied three points (2 G, 1 A) in the contest, to go along with two ground balls and a pair of draw controls. Fellow senior attacker Stefani Vagelatos (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) chipped in a goal and an assist for a two-point day.

Adelphi topped the poll for the second-straight week, collecting 398 points and 18 first-place votes. Lindenwood (372 points) and Le Moyne (366 points) each got one first-place vote to re-claim their No. 2 and No. 3 rankings, respectively.

Head Coach Meghan McNamara and her LIU Post squad return to action Wednesday (Mar. 8), when they face Philadelphia University in a non-conference tilt at 3 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
