BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (May 17, 2017) - On Wednesday, LIU Post junior outfielder Rob Andreoli (North Wantagh, N.Y.) and senior pitchers Dan Jagiello (West Islip, N.Y.) and Jake DeCarli (Higganum, Conn.) were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II All-East Region Team.

Andreoli was selected to the NCBWA All-East Region First Team, while Jagiello and DeCarli earned NCBWA All-Region second-team and honorable mention accolades, respectively.

Andreoli, who has garnered ECC Player of the Year distinction in 2017, is making his first-ever appearance on the NCBWA All-East Region First Team.

Andreoli is currently batting at a team-best .358 clip with four homers and a league-leading 15 doubles and 40 RBIs. He has smacked the second-most hits (69) of any player in the ECC, as well.

Additionally, Andreoli has recorded a career-high 21 multi-hit games this year, including the team's first five-hit performance since 2009 in a 10-2 win over Queens on Apr. 17.

Jagiello, an All-ECC first-team performer, has made 17 relief appearances in 2017, posting a league-best 11 saves with a 2.21 earned-run average and 32 strikeouts.

His 11 saves also rank ninth-best in Division II and broke the school's single-season record (8), set by former standout Anthony Rinaldi in 2007.

Lastly, DeCarli has served as the team's ace this season, compiling a league-leading 8-1 mark (five complete games) with a 2.24 ERA and 70 strikeouts. He has yielded two earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts and let up just 20 walks in 92.1 innings pitched.
