MANSFIELD, Mass. (Jun. 28, 2017) - The LIU Post football and field hockey teams had another strong semester in the classroom, as a combined total of 86 student-athletes were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2017 semester on Monday.
It was the fourth-consecutive term that the Pioneers increased their representation on the honor roll. The green and gold had 78 student-athletes earn the citation in the Fall 2016 semester, while 72 student-athletes were recognized on the Spring 2016 ledger.
To be eligible for selection to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the specified term.
Additionally, five of the 86 student-athletes posted a 4.0 grade-point average. They were football's
Anthony DeNunzio (Seaford, N.Y.),
Kareem Folkes (Brooklyn, N.Y.),
Shane Hubbard (St. Albans, N.Y.) and
Mike Williams (Westbury, N.Y.) and field hockey's
Taylor Brodsky (Miller Place, N.Y.).
