GILBERT, Ariz. – Seniors
Emily Miller and
Tarryn Morris of the No. 10 LIU Post field hockey team were selected to play in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Senior Game, as announced by the organization.
Bailey Martin was selected as an alternate.
The annual Victory Sports/NFHCA Division II Senior game features the best seniors in the nation, 38 in total, and will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field on the campus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Division II Senior Game is taking place in conjunction with the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship and is part of the NCAA Division II Fall Festival that runs from Nov. 25-Dec. 1, 2018 and features championship contests for men's & women's cross country, field hockey, men's & women's soccer and field hockey.
Miller currently leads the Pioneers and is second in the Northeast-10 in points, goals and assists with 36, 15 and six. Her 3.60 points per game leads LIU Post and the NE-10; her 1.50 goals per game leads LIU Post and is second in the NE-10, as are her .60 assists per game.
Morris is third on the Pioneers in points and goals with 13 and six. She also has one assist. Martin has one point and one assist and has started all 10 games.
LIU Post is 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the NE-10. The Pioneers are in action next on Friday, Oct. 19 at 2:00 p.m. against Franklin Pierce University (6-5, 3-3).
