Softball's Seader Named to National Player of the Year Watchlist

NFCA RELEASE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior catcher Julia Seader was selected as one of fifty players to the "Watch List" for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association/Schutt Sports Division II National Player of the Year award as announced Feb. 8.
 
Seader was named East Coast Conference Co-Player of the Year last season after leading the conference with 49 runs batted in while finishing second with 12 home runs and third with a .406 batting average a year ago. The Piscataway native also earned a spot on the All-East Region second team in 2017.
 
The top 25 finalists for the 2018 National Player of the Year award will be announced on April 23, and the top-10 finalists will be announced on May 15. The 2018 winner will be recognized on June 4, following the conclusion of the season.
 
Seader and the rest of the Pioneers open the 2018 season when they travel to Clermont, Fla. to take on Ferris State on Sunday, Mar. 4.
