DALLAS, Texas – The LIU Post wrestling team was recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association for its performance in the classroom, garnering 12th-place in the country in team grade point average, and placing eight individuals on the Academic All-American team.
 
The Pioneers compiled a 3.1191 GPA as a team, ranking 12th in Division II this year. Maryville University came in as the top performing team, garnering a 3.4532 GPA, edging out the Colorado School of Mines at 3.4384.
 
The following eight individuals were also honored for their performance in the classroom, compiling a GPA of 3.2 or higher, or have met the 3.0 benchmark and qualified for the NCAA Championship.
