LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In recognition of two outstanding individual performances during a victory against No. 11/14 Saint Anselm College, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association named men's lacrosse seniors
Connor Farrell and
Bryan Ochs to the Division II Team of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Both individuals earn the national recognition for the first time, with Ochs garnering East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week earlier this week.
Farrell continued to be a force in the faceoff circle, finishing 25-of-28 (.893) on draws against the Hawks and collected a career-high 24 ground balls. This season, Farrell owns the two highest single-game ground ball totals (22, 24) in Division II and ranks second in faceoff percentage (.893).
Ochs also posted a career-day against Saint Anselm, making 18 saves on 28 shots for a .643 save percentage. Ochs tallied seven saves during the fourth quarter to hold off the Hawks, improving to 2-0 on the year.
The Pioneers return to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, March 2 when they host No. 12/11 Pace University at 1:00 p.m.
