BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – On the back of three home runs, the LIU Post baseball team completed the series sweep of Molloy College with a 9-7 victory Tuesday afternoon at the LIU Post Baseball Stadium.
 
Senior Michael Manzione, junior Zach Fritz and freshman Giovanni Ciaccio each had hit home runs for the Pioneers. Ciaccio went 3-for-5 with two RBI, Manzione went 3-for-2 with three RBI while Fritz added three RBI along with his home run.
 
Freshman Joshua Loeschorn earned his seventh win of the season for LIU Post as he struck out seven while junior Mike Lazos earned his third save.
 
Manzione started the game off on a high note by launching a three RBI home run over the center field fence in the bottom of the first to give LIU Post a 3-0 lead.
 
While the Lions had taken a 6-3 lead by the end of the fourth inning, Fritz hit a three RBI homer to left field in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game up, 6-6.
 
Ciaccio then hit the Pioneers' third homer of the game to right center, driving in two runs and putting the Pioneers ahead 8-6.
 
Senior Anthony Vaglica's RBI double to right center in the bottom of the sixth gave LIU Post a 9-6 advantage and while Molloy added one more run in the top of the ninth, the Pioneers held on for the 9-7 victory and the series sweep.
