ABCA/Rawlings Release
 
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings announced their NCAA Division II postseason awards Wednesday afternoon and freshman Joshua Loeschorn of the LIU Post baseball team was honored as the East Pitcher of the Year. He also earned all-region honors along with seniors James Varela and Michael Manzione.
 
Loeschorn and Varela garnered first team honors while Manzione was named to the second team.
 
Loeschorn adds to his collection of postseason honors that also includes spots on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-East Region First Team and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region First Team. He was named ECC Pitcher and Rookie of the Year along with being an ECC All-Conference First Team honoree.
 
Varela, who last season's ABCA/Rawlings East Pitcher of the Year, was named to the NCBWA All-East Region Second Team and the D2CAA All-East Region Second along with the East Coast Conference (ECC) All-Conference First Team.
 
Manzione was also named NCBWA All-East Region Second Team and to the ECC-All Conference First Team.
