2011: Split time between third base and pitcher, playing in 37 games with 36 starts … batted .186 … hit six doubles and tied for the team lead with two triples … knocked in nine runs and scored 15 … was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases … on the mound, he posted a 3.86 ERA … tossed 46.2 innings and allowed 20 earned runs and 53 hits … struck out 31 and walked 12 … went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and scored two runs against Caldwell (March 9) … was 3-for-5 with an RBI double and two runs scored against Queens (April 6) … threw six innings and allowed one earned run on four hits against Dowling (March 27) … struck out seven batters twice, against UMass Lowell (March 17) and Queens (April 10) … threw seven innings and allowed two earned runs against St. Thomas Aquinas (May 8).  

2010: Split time both in the infield and on the mound ... played and started in 38 games in the field and started eight games on the mound … offensively he hit .162 with 19 hits and nine RBI while walking 23 times, which was second on the team … on the mound he amassed 55.1 innings pitched while allowing 56 hits and 18 runs, which were the lowest amongst the Pioneers’ starters … totaled three complete games while pitching to a 2.28 ERA … pitched 9.0 solid innings allowing nine hits and only two runs while striking out seven against St. Thomas Aquinas (March 21) … had a season high in strikeouts with nine over 7.0 innings in game one of a twin bill against Bridgeport (April 3).

Before C.W. Post:  Played three seasons for coach Tom Tuttle … helped the Dragons to a 2008 Nassau County Championship … earned All-Long Island and First Team All-New York State honors …earned the 2009 Nassau Diamond Award … posted a 9-0 record on the mound his senior year.

Personal: Middle child of Edward and Siobhan Chenicek … has an older brother, Brian, and a younger sister, Erin … Brian was a four-year starter for the C.W. Post baseball team from 2005-08 … lists his father as the person he admires most … majoring in education.
