Prior to LIU Post: A two-sport athlete at Cheshire … batted .344 at the plate and held a 0.78 ERA her senior year … helped the Rams capture Housatonic Division championship titles in 2008 and 2009 … named to the All-Housatonic Division Team … New Haven Register All-Area Team selection (2007 and 2008) … threw a perfect game from the pitcher’s circle during her final home appearance as a senior against Bristol Central … also played basketball.

Personal: Youngest of Joe and Sue Amarante’s four children … sister, Tina, played lacrosse at Western New England and brother, Dan, plays baseball at Western Connecticut State … plans to pursue a master’s degree upon graduation, possibly in law or political science … majoring in psychology and English.
