2011: Pitched in two games … threw a scoreless inning against Franklin Pierce (March 19) … threw two innings and gave up two runs on three hits with two strikeouts against St. Thomas Aquinas (May 8). 

2010: Appeared in one game in relief pitching 0.1 inning … made lone appearance against Dominican (March 6).

Before LIU Post: Earned four varsity letters in baseball for coach Curtis …served as team captain …also played three years of football, helping the Indians to two section 1 finalist appearances … earned five varsity letters in wrestling, helping the team to two section 1 championships … served as captain of football, wresting, and baseball his senior year.

Personal: Oldest of Bill and Diane Swertfager’s three children … has a younger brother and a younger sister … Bill played four years of football for William & Mary, while Diane played four years of volleyball at Springfield ... majoring in business management.
