2015: Started in all 18 games ... assisted the Pioneers in limiting the opposition to an average of 1.22 goals per game ... recorded two shots in a 3-1 win over Pace (Oct. 21).
2014: Started in 19 of the Pioneers' 22 contests.... Collected an assist in a LIU Post victory over So. New Hampshire (Sept. 13)... An integral part of a green and gold defensive effort which ranked first in the nation for scoring average (3.88) and second for scoring margin (2.80).
2013: Started each of the Pioneers’ 22 games … tallied three goals for six points … was a perfect 3-for-3 on penalty strokes against So. Conn. State (Sept. 24), Assumption (Oct. 1), and Bentley (Oct. 12) … her stroke against Bentley was the game-winner.
2012: Played in 14 games making eight starts ... tallied one defensive save against Bloomsburg (10/19).
Before LIU Post: Was a two-year varsity player at Rocky Point and led the Eagles to the Div. III and Suffolk County championships … named to the all-tournament team her senior year … also named all-division, all-conference and received the Unsung Hero award … also played lacrosse.
Personal: Youngest of Brian and Christine Russell’s three children … hobbies include playing the trumpet, dance and playing lacrosse … favorite athlete is Derek Jeter … admires her mother … plans to pursue a career in physical therapy and possibly coach field hockey … majoring in health science with a minor in health care administration.
