CENTERVILLE, MASS. (March 29, 2011) – Junior guard, Stefan Bonneau (Middletown, N.Y.), has added another award to his season this year with the announcement of being named the Co-Player of the Year for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). Teammate Aaron Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) was also recognized on the ECAC Second Team.
Bonneau is sharing the Player of the Year nod with Saint Anselm senior guard, Thomas Baudinet. Bonneau adds this award to his already lists of recognitions has he has earned ECC Player of the Year and was voted to NABC East Region Second Team.
The junior guard led the ECC in scoring with his 18.9 points per game and in shots made from beyond the arc at 79. Bonneau went over the 30-point mark twice, including a career 39 against Queens on January 8. He led the Pioneers in scoring on 18 separate occasions during the 2010-11 season.
Hall earned a place on the ECAC Second Team after a solid senior year in which the Pioneers claimed the ECC Tournament Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The senior from Syracuse finished his senior year averaging 14.1 points per game and 6.0 rebounds a game, both good enough for second best on the team. Hall also reached the 1,000th point career mark, scoring nearly 800 of those points as a Pioneer.
