BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2014) - Led by a four-goal 
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) effort, the No. 5 LIU Post field hockey team defeated Northeast-10 opponent Southern New Hampshire, 9-1, on Tuesday.
The first half saw two Margiotta tallies assisted by
 Dani Crouse (Westville, South Africa) and
 Taylor-Bay Sutton (Phillipsburg, N.J.), respectively, at 21:24 and 29:52. Through the first 35 minutes, the Pioneers ripped 21 total shots and were awarded 11 penalty corners.
The green and gold's second-half offensive strike commenced early, as senior forward
 Lyn-Marie Wilson (Bridgetown, Barbados W.I.) scored an unassisted goal just over six minutes into play. Three minutes later, freshman 
Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.) converted an 
Abi Sawyer (Wakefield, West Yorkshire) assist to increase the Pioneer lead to three. At 45:27, Wilson tucked a ball under the Penmen goalkeeper, while Margiotta secured a hat-trick at 49:30 off of a 
Melissa Quintanilla (Rome, N.Y.) assist, to add two more goals to LIU Post's advantage. The last three Pioneer tallies came off the sticks of 
Stephanie Ruhle (Wanaque, N.Y.), Margiotta and Crouse, respectively. 
LIU Post's nine goals boast a season offensive high, while the backline allowed Southern New Hampshire only one total shot through 70 minutes.
