BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2015) - The LIU Post women's soccer team suffered its first East Coast Conference loss of 2015 on Saturday, dropping a 1-0 decision to No. 6 University of Bridgeport at Knights Field.
The Pioneers (7-2-1, 1-1-1 ECC) were held scoreless for the first time since 2013.
Bridgeport (8-1, 3-0 ECC) scored in the 13th minute, and from there, the defenses took over.

Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) sent one wide right before the opening session expired.
In the second half, Vistnes had a shot saved in the 80th minute, before junior forward

It wasn't until the 90th minute that freshman forward
Angela Careddu's
(Flushing, N.Y.) last attempt was off the mark.
In all, Bridgeport outshot the Pioneers, 11-5, but just two of LIU Post's shots were on goal.
Senior keeper
Katelyn Phillips (Littleton, Colo.) and junior netminder
Felicia Orderud (Gothenburg, Sweden) each made two saves for the green and gold.
Head Coach
Mark Dawson and the Pioneers return to action on Tuesday (Oct. 6), when they take on Dowling College in an ECC battle in Brookhaven, N.Y. The opening kick is scheduled for 4 p.m.
