Kidd Named NE-10 Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (Nov. 2, 2015) - Following Saturday's six-touchdown performance, LIU Post football junior quarterback Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) garnered Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week distinction on Monday.

Kidd's six touchdown passes were the most since Steven Laurino's five-TD game in the NE-10 Championship last year. He finished one short of tying Perry Klein's single-game record of seven touchdowns against Salisbury University in 1993.

Kidd, who threw for four of his six scores in the first half, was 19-of-27 passing for 282 yards in a 49-46 win against Southern Connecticut State University in the Pioneers' final regular-season home contest of 2015.

In his debut campaign at LIU Post, Kidd has completed 56.9 percent (181-of-318) of his passes for 2,072 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is also the third-leading rusher on the team with 192 yards and two TD's.

Kidd currently stands as the NE-10's leader in completions, passing yards, yards per game (230.2) and passing touchdowns. Additionally, the Salem, Ore. native ranks in the Top-60 amongst Division II in seven different statistical categories.

Kidd and the Pioneers wrap up the 2015 regular season on Saturday (Nov. 7), when they meet Bentley University for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Bentley Field in Waltham.
