BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 4, 2015) - On Wednesday, LIU Post Head Football Coach
Bryan Collins (Sayville, N.Y.) announced the signing of eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. They will don the green and gold on the gridiron, starting in Fall 2015.
"This year, we are in a different type of situation than in year's past. We have over 70 returning players coming back for the spring," said Collins. "We did address three concerns of ours through graduation with mid-year transfers. They will give us the added depth that we need."

He is a dual-threat quarterback. We were impressed by his arm strength and athletic ability to make plays. He can make all the throws and get himself out of trouble."
Kevin Bragaglia

Collins on Bragaglia: "Kevin has been an impact player. He has been on our radar since his sophomore year as a defensive back. He is one of the top players on Long Island because of his skill set. He is versatile, as he can also play slot receiver, as well as move over to the defensive side of the ball...He was too good of an athlete to pass up on."

Connor Farrell
LB - 6-2 - 235Second-Team All-State at Sachem East High School...All-Long Island and All-Division Honoree...Had a sack in a 28-10 win over Walt Whitman (Oct. 11)...Collected 12 tackles and two interceptions in a 13-10 victory against Northport (Nov. 8).
Collins on Farrell: "We evaluated him as the top linebacker in our recruiting class. Connor has a big body and is very athletic. He runs very well and we feel that he will be an impact player in our linebacking corps in the future."

Nate Feliz

Collins on Feliz: "Another first-team area we needed to address with our mid-years was at the linebacker position. Nate gives us tremendous size and athleticism. He is going to come in and compete in the spring with our younger linebackers. He will address a defensive need of ours with the loss of
Anthony Brunetti."
Abel Joseph
DT - 6-2 - 2452014 All-City Honorable Mention at Flushing High School...Recorded two sacks in a 30-26 win over Port Richmond (Sept. 6)...Made four tackles against Dewitt Clinton (Sept. 20)...Had three tackles in a 44-0 shutout of Beach Channel (Sept. 27)...Registered four tackles in a 20-10 win versus New Utrecht (Oct. 12)...Collected three sacks in a 41-14 victory at South Shore (Oct. 25)...
Collins on Joseph: "Abel was someone that was on our radar. Our goal coming in was to secure some defensive linemen, because we graduated three. He has a great get-off, great quickness and plays with his hands well...I think Abel has a tremendous future in front of him. His upside is very high. He can be an impact player on the outside or inside, which is important for us."

Jeff Kidd
QB - 6-4 - 210Second-Team All-League at Glendale Community College...Completed 109-of-185 passes (58.9 percent) for 1,599 yards and 14 touchdowns in eight games...Amassed a season-high 252 yards passing and four touchdowns in a 61-28 victory over Pima Community College (Oct. 11)...First-Team All-League at Reedley Community College...Named to 2011 JCGridiron.com Preseason Quarterbacks Watch List...All-State, All-Mid Valley and All-Conference Selection at Sprague High School.
Collins on Kidd: "We were looking to bring in a mature quarterback to compete with our returning players. He comes to us from Glendale Community College, a very competitive junior college in Arizona. He has big game experience, great size, running ability and an outstanding arm. We are excited to have him here in the spring to learn our offensive system and compete with our three returning quarterbacks."

Sean McKean
DB - 6-3 - 195Recipient of the Tom Cassesse Award (top defensive back in Suffolk County) at Connetquot High School...First-Team All-State and All-Long Island...Intercepted a pass in a 14-10 win at Lindenhurst (Sept. 27)...Recorded a pick in a 45-19 victory over Patchogue-Medford (Oct. 17).
Collins on McKean: "Sean is a big, physical safety who has great presence. His size and athletic ability gives him great range. We look for our free safety to be a force in defending the run game, and have the ability to play man-to-man coverage...Sean gives us that."

Golden Ukonu
OL - 6-4 - 370Played in 10 games at Mississippi Valley State University...2012 First-Team All-Northeast Football Conference Selection at Nassau Community College...All-County, All-Long Island and All-State Honoree at North Babylon High School.
Collins on Ukonu: "We have lost a couple of senior offensive linemen, so we are bringing back a former player of ours in Golden.
