CALDWELL, N.J. (Sept. 17, 2015) - On Thursday, the LIU Post women's soccer team shut out Caldwell University, 1-0, in a non-conference match at the Caldwell Athletics FIeld.
The Pioneers (4-1) held Caldwell (1-5) to just two shots over 90 minutes, neither of which were on target.
In the 20th minute, senior forward
Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) gathered a loose ball inside the box and sent her fifth tally of the season into the net for the game's lone goal.
LIU Post recorded a total of eight shots in the first 45 minutes of play, four of which were on target.
In the second half, the Pioneers took nine shots, five of which were saved by Caldwell's Mary Kanzler. Kanzler made eight stops in total.

Mark Dawson and the Pioneers are back in action Saturday (Sept. 19), when they host East Coast Conference rival New York Institute of Technology at 12:30 p.m. in their 2015 ECC opener at Pioneer Soccer Park in Brookville, N.Y.
