WACO, Texas (Oct. 10, 2016) - The LIU Post football team has climbed to No. 14 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Monday morning.
The Pioneers, who tallied 339 points in the voting, rolled to a 63-20 win against Saint Anselm on Saturday to improve to 6-0 on the year.
Senior quarterback
Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns on 22-of-31 passing in the victory. Senior running back
David White (Bronx, N.Y.) took 14 handoffs for a season-high 131 yards and a touchdown.
Through six games, LIU Post is tied for the sixth-most first downs (158) in Division II. The Pioneers also rank eighth in the nation in blocked punts (2), 14th in completion percentage (.661) and 17th in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.0).
LIU Post returns to the gridiron Saturday (Oct. 15), when they travel to New Haven, Conn. to face Southern Connecticut State University in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
