WACO, Texas (Oct. 17, 2016) - The LIU Post football team has maintained its hold on the No. 14 ranking in the latest American Football Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Monday morning.

The Pioneers, who earned 343 points in the tally, cracked the Top-25 on Oct. 3 at No. 21. One week later, the green and gold skyrocketed to 14th, after a decisive 63-20 win against Saint Anselm.

LIU Post currently sits at 7-0 overall, and is off to its best start to a season since 2002. That year, the Pioneers completed a perfect regular season, en route to winning the Northeast-10 Conference title.

This past Saturday, LIU Post rallied for a come-from-behind 30-23 victory at Southern Connecticut. Senior quarterback Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns in the win, including a go-ahead 45-yard touchdown pass to red-shirt junior wide receiver Kyle Ward (Elizabeth, N.J.) in the fourth quarter.

Head Coach Bryan Collins and the Pioneers are back in action Saturday (Oct. 22), when they face NE-10 rival American International College at 1 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
