MANSFIELD, Mass. (Jul. 13, 2016) - A total of 72 LIU Post student-athletes were recognized to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2016 semester, the league recently announced.
To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the specified term.
Seven Pioneers boasted an unblemished 4.0 grade-point average in the Spring 2016 semester. They were field hockey's
Melissa Quintanilla (Rome, N.Y.) and
Savanah Cummings (Midlothian, Va.) and football's
Anthony Caruso (Mineola, N.Y.),
Deon Mash (Brooklyn, N.Y.),
Matthew Sollenne (Massapequa Park, N.Y.),
Mike Williams (Westbury, N.Y.) and
Patrick Williams (Westbury, N.Y.).
In addition to the seven 4.0 GPA students, LIU Post had 30 student-athletes post a GPA in the 3.50-3.99 range, while 35 Pioneers carried a GPA between a 3.0 and 3.49.
LIU Post also continued to improve its representation on the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. The Pioneers had 64 student-athletes chosen in the Fall 2015 term and 48 honorees in the Spring 2015 semester.
