STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Jan. 6, 2017) - On Friday, the LIU Post men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action at the Wagner Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
Red-shirt sophomore
Kasim Thomas (Bronx, N.Y.) sprinted to a 13th-place time of 22.95 in the 200-meter dash. He also finished 21st (7.21) in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash.
Red-shirt junior
Ramel Joseph (Jamaica, N.Y.) came in 16th in the 200-dash, after crossing at 23.11. Freshman
Jeffrey Reyes (Bay Shore, N.Y.) placed 24th in the mile, clocking a 4:31.77.
Junior
Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) led the way for the women's side with an 11th-place run of 5:12.83 in the mile. Graduate
Ashlin Conroy (Syosset, N.Y.) followed in 29th (5:22.54), while graduate
Elizabeth Stirling (Wantagh, N.Y.) was 35th (5:30.46) in the race.
In the 800-meter run, freshman
Alexandria Okon (Laurel, Md.) clocked a 2:25.31, which was good for a 15th-place showing. Fellow freshman
Nicolette Agostinacchio (Wantagh, N.Y.) finished 25th, posting a time of 2:30.70.

Kevin Buckley and the Pioneers are back at it next Saturday (Jan. 14), when they compete at the Yale Invitational at 9 a.m. in New Haven, Conn.
