Bridgeport, Conn. – The LIU Post men's soccer team captured the ECC Regular Season Title with a 7-1 victory over the University of Bridgeport in the regular season's final match on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Pioneers (14-0-2) finish the regular season undefeated with an 8-0-1 East Coast Conference record and enter the championship tournament as the first seed. Bridgeport (4-10-1, 3-5-1 ECC) was eliminated from playoff contention.
 
LIU Post struck early and often with tallies coming in the 13th (Lukas Ostermann), 23rd (Ostermann) and 27th (Vittorio Argeri) minutes, before a late Bridgeport goal in the 38th minute, brought the game to a 3-1 score at the half.
 
Ledula tallied his 12th of the season in the 49th minute and Ostermann notched his second hat trick of the week six minutes later to extend LIU Post's lead to five early in the second half.
 
Harry Pearse and Johann Kristjansson each scored their fifth and fourth goal of the year, respectively, in the 60th and 89th minutes to wrap the evening's scoring.
 
Ostermann, who also picked up an assist, led all Pioneers with seven points on the night.
 
Oliver Hessner Hansen (12-0-2) made four saves on the night while Bridgeport's Juan Munoz was credited with five.
