Waco Tx| The American Football Coaches Association announced the 2017 Division II All-America Team and senior Joseph Lacey was selected as an offensive lineman to the team.

Lacey, a D2CCA First-Team All-Reagion member paved the way for the NE10's No. 1 offense in total offense and scoring as well as league's leading passer. His team ranked eighth in Division II in total offense and scoring offense.

Lacey becomes the fourth Pioneer in LIU Post history to earn an AFCA All-America distinction. The four-year member of the green and gold helped his team captured two NE10 Championships.

The NE-10 Offensive Lineman of the Year, has battled in the trenches and opened up holes to assist an LIU Post offense that leads the NE10 in total offense (4,996), passing touchdowns (38), first downs (258), and third-down conversion percentage (.58).
