RINDGE, N.H. - Junior Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) and freshman Sammy Bell (Milngavie, Glasgow, United Kingdom) teamed up for a pair of goals as the third-ranked LIU Post field hockey team downed Franklin Pierce, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

Bell fed Miller for the Pioneers' (7-1, 3-1 NE10) first goal just after 10 minutes had passed in the contest. The duo extended the green and gold's lead in the 50th minute as Bell passed ahead for Miller on the breakaway who finished with a hard, high shot to the left side of the cage.

LIU Post outshot the Ravens (5-5, 2-3 NE10) 11-1, including 6-0 advantage on goal.  The Pioneers were awarded 11 penalty corners to FPU's two.

Next up for the green and gold is a home conference matchup on Tuesday (Oct. 3). The Pioneers will host Pace for a 4 p.m. start at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
