WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference released its weekly awards Monday and two members of the LIU Post men's basketball team were honored as sophomore Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor was named Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Kendell Ogilvie was named Rookie of the Week.
 
Ortiz-Traylor recorded three steals and two blocks on the defensive end in the Pioneers game against The College of Saint Rose on Saturday, Nov. 24. He also had a game and career-high 26 points, a game-high nine rebounds and made a career-best four three-pointers.

His 21.7 points per game currently ranks third in the conference and his 8.3 rebounds per game is second.
 
Ogilvie added a career-high 20 points and seven rebounds against Saint Rose. He connected on 4-for-6 three-pointers and had four steals.
 
LIU Post is in action next against Nyack College (0-5) on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3:00 p.m. inside Bowman Gymnasium.
