Bryan Collins announced five captains for the 2018 campaign June 13.
The Pioneers are seeking their third Northeast-10 title since 2014 when they take to the field this fall and will look to strong upperclassmen leadership to guide the quest. Earning the captain titles this fall are senior linebacker
Patrick Williams, senior offensive lineman
Chris Coles, senior wide receiver
Michael Richardson, senior running back
Malik Pierre, and junior running back
Tim Marinan.
This year's group of captains brings 17 seasons of experience with the Pioneers, with Williams, Coles, and Pierre entering their fifth seasons, while Richardson enters year four and Marinan coming into year three. Last season, the group combined for 50 games played, appearing in all 10 games for the Pioneers.
The Green and Gold open play during week two of the 2018 season with an NE10 matchup with American International College at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
