Kelsey Walker is entering her second year as an assistant coach for the Pioneers.  In her first season alongside Apicella, Walker made an immediate impact on outfield that consisted of three freshman starters for most of the year.  Under her tutelage, the outfielding corps made just 8 errors all season.  
 
In addition to outfield, Walker is also in charge of situational offense and baserunning for the team, and under her guidance, Kelsey Cooley finished 14th in the nation in sacrifice bunts per game with 20, and the team was 44-51 in steal attempts.  She oversees the team’s conditioning and nutrition programs, and is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
 
The West Hills, Calif., native was a four-year starter for the Pioneers and served as a captain during her senior season.  A 2006 graduate of C.W. Post, Walker holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism.  She currently resides in Westbury, N.Y.
