NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee - Mission Statement
The mission of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.

What is SAAC?
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a board made up of student athletes who are committed to generating a voice for the student-athlete within the NCAA. One of the main purposes for SAAC is to make other student-athletes aware of proposed NCAA legislation and to recommend legislation to the NCAA regarding certain situations. SAAC is dedicated to promoting a positive student-athlete image within the athletic programs and creating the executive leaders of tomorrow.
Meetings
The LIU Post Student-Athlete Advisory Committee holds bi-weekly meetings on Monday night at 8:30 p.m., in the back classroom of Pratt Recreation Center.
Mission: To enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
Purpose: To promote communication between the Athletics Administration and the Student-Athlete.
1. Disseminate information
2. Provide feedback and insight into the Dept. Of Athletic issues or concerns
3. Generate a student-athlete voice regarding formulation of athletic policies
4. Build community within the Pioneers Athletics with all athletic teams
5. Solicit student-athlete responses to proposed NCAA Legislation
6. Organize community service events
7. Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus
Responsibilities of the Executive Board:
1. Preside over meeting
2. Serves as SAAC liaison to the Department of Athletics
3. Shall represent SAAC at any applicable conference or NCAA meetings
4. Performs such duties as are incidental to the office
