Ruairi McGuinness returns to the C.W. Post women's soccer team for his second season as assistant coach. With an immense amount of previous coaching experience, he is expected to make a great addition to the coaching staff.
McGuinness is a native to Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sports and Fitness Studies from the University of Luton, England in 2000. McGuinness held a starting position for three years on the University's men's soccer team, and then became a volunteer assistant coach for his alma mater in 2000. He also played semi professionally with the Ballinamallard United F.C. Mallards.
McGuinness is currently serving as the Education Department Manager for NOGA Soccer, a position he has held since February 2001. He is also a staff instructor for the Long Island Junior Soccer League Academy Staff Program, offering licenses to youth soccer coaches on Long Island. Recently, McGuinness obtained his UEFA 'A' License, one of the most prestigious in Europe. He also holds an NSCAA Premier Coaching Diploma and a USSF 'B' License.
