Albert Marcano enters his second season as an assistant field hockey coach at C.W. Post, bringing over 20 years of experience as a player and coach to Savin’s staff.
Marcano represented Trinidad & Tobago on the national team for 13 years, and was nominated as one of the five Players of the Year for the team in 1999. He was ranked seventh in scoring at the 1995 Pan Am Games in Argentina.
From 2000-05, Marcano served as an assistant coach for the Trinidad & Tobago women’s senior team and U21 men’s team. He was also the head coach of the Malvern Sports Club women’s team for 14 years, capturing seven national outdoor titles.
The veteran coach has also coached at summer camps at Bloomsburg, UNC, Wake Forest, Drew, and Lock Haven.
Marcano earned his associate’s degree in Management from the University of Monroe, and currently resides in Brooklyn.
