Dusan Erceg, a former teammate of Head Coach Andreas Lindberg at Southampton College, is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the LIU Post men's soccer program.
Erceg anchored the defense while playing alongside Lindberg at the former LIU-Southampton College from 1997-2000. He led the Colonials to a No. 2 ranking in Division II, and was named an All-American in 1999.
Following his collegiate career, he played for the Westchester Flames of the Premier Development League, where he served as the team captain and helped the Flames to a league and national championship in 2001. The following year, he played for the Long Island Rough Riders of the USL Division 2, and helped the Rough Riders to a national championship.
The standout player then served as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Knights in the PDL in 2006, as well as the Assistant Soccer Director at the Future Starts Camp in Farmingdale.
Erceg and his wife, Paige, reside in Queens, N.Y. They have one daughter, Mila.
