T.J. Newman is in his third year with the LIU Post men’s basketball staff, after spending 10 seasons at SUNY Farmingdale under Erik Smiles.

While with the Rams, Newman helped guide the program to a 182-72 record, four regular-season championships, three Skyline Conference Tournament titles, and four NCAA Tournament appearances.

He also coached 12 All-Conference honorees, three Skyline Conference Players of the Year and two Division III All-Americans.

Newman played his college ball at the University of Bridgeport, where he graduated in 2003.
