Brian Kuar is in his first season on the LIU Post men's basketball coaching staff in 2014-15.

He brings a wealth of experience on the sidelines, including serving collegiate assistant coaching stints at Adelphi and Farmingdale State. While at Farmingdale, Kuar aided current Pioneers' head coach Erik Smiles in capturing a Skyline Conference Championship.in 2012.

Kuar has also coached at the high school level. He spent three seasons as the Head Freshman Coach and Assistant Varsity Boys' Coach at Holy Trinity in nearby Hicksville, N.Y.

Kuar's knowledge as an assistant basketball coach has included recruiting, player development, scouting, composing practice plans, maintaining budgets, camp directing and fundraising. 

Additionally, Kuar, who served as director of the Team Force AAU basketball program from 2009-12, spends his offseason working basketball camps.
