Jim McCauley was a starting pitcher for the LIU Post baseball team from 1987-89. In his tenure with the Pioneers, he posted a career record of 23-6 on the mound with 147 strikeouts and a 2.36 earned-run average.
He was a two-time New York State Baseball Coaches Association All-Star and received Diamond Conference All-Star recognition in 1988. Additionally, McCauley still currently holds the school’s single-season record for wins and is tied for first all-time in program history for career victories.
