CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (Oct. 11, 2008)-C.W. Post competed in the DeSales Invitational Saturday morning, as the women and men took ninth place and 16th place overall, respectively
Freshman Nicole Wissler (Mineola, N.Y.) was the first woman to complete the 6k race for C.W. Post Wissler crossed the line with a time 24:24, taking 13th place overall out of a field of 145 runners. Wissler was the first ECC runner to cross the line. Her time placed her seventh on the All Time 6K list for the Pioneers. Junior Kristen Sweeney (Kennebunkport, Maine) finished next for the women, placing 48th at the 26-minute mark. Erin Lusenskas (East Atlatinc Beach, N.Y.) was the third Pioneer to finish, with a time of 26:47.42, nabbing 58th place. Melissa Norman (West Haven, Conn) and Kristin Coscia finished shortly after Lusenskas, taking 74th and 76th place, respectively. Junior Irekpitan Ehikioya (West Hempstead, N.Y.) rounded out the bunch with a time of 30:53.71, taking 119th place.
Junior Thomas Brouillard (Syosset, N.Y.) was the first runner to cross the finish line for C.W. Post. Brouillard completed the race at the 28:24.30 mark, earning himself 28th place in a field of 180 runners. Sophomore Tim Arscott finished shortly after his teammate, placing 69th overall with a time of 29:30.98. Theodore Cruz (Albertson, N.Y.) followed less than a minute behind Arscott at 30:32.38, garnering a 93rd place finish. Senior Anthony Walcott (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) finished with a time of 34:51.47 taking 163rd place.
The Pioneers are back in action again October 25, as they travel to Kings Park for the East Coast Conference Championships.
