Women's Soccer Remains Fourth-Ranked Team In Nation
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 14, 2008)- The National Soccer Coaches Association released its weekly Division II national polls Tuesday afternoon. C.W. Post remains unchanged, as they are still ranked fourth in the nation.
C.W. Post comes off a successful week, as it earned two conference wins. The Pioneers started off their week on Monday afternoon, as they travelled to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to take on Mercy College. Freshman Tove Eriksson (Helsingborg, Sweden) led the team with two goals for the afternoon. The Pioneers extended their four game win streak as they defeated ECC rival Dowling College. Sophomore Ivana Babic (Haninge, Sweden) scored both goals in the 2-1 win, improving the team to an 11-1 record.
The Pioneers remain the only ECC team to be ranked in national polls for the seventh week in a row. C.W. Post will take the field again Tuesday afternoon as they host Saint Thomas Aquinas College in a conference contest at 3:30 p.m.
