Softball Named NFCA All-Academic Team
All-Academic Teams
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2008) –
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced theTop All-Academic Teams, which ranked the C.W. Post softball team 19th among all Division II softball programs in the country.
The rankings are based on cumulative grade-point averages submitted by NFCA member head coaches for the 2007-08 academic year.
C.W. Post as a team earned an overall grade point average of 3.30, and eight members of the team were named to the East Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Head coach Jamie Apicella, in his 10th season at C.W. Post, coached the Pioneers to a program-best 48-16 overall record and a return trip to the College World Series in Houston, Texas.
