BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 22, 2008)- The C.W. Post women's soccer team will be honoring Breast Cancer Awareness month on Saturday as they take on Molloy College. To show their support for the cause, the team will be wearing pink t-shirts during warm-ups.
Earlier this month the C.W. Post women's field hockey team showed their support for Breast Cancer as they participated in “Play for the Cure”. Susan G. Komen for the cure is the world's largest network of breast cancer survivors and activists. They are ranked as a top-charity and is devoted to finding a cure for the disease. The Think Pink campaign has taken off across campuses and activist groups around the country, including events such as Play for the Cure, the Pink Zone, and the Komen Race for the Cure.
During the game members of the American Cancer Society will be walking through the crowds selling ribbons for donations. The Pioneers ask that you show your support by wearing pink to the game and making a donation towards research to find a cure.
