Women's Cross Country Finishes Second At ECC Championships

KINGS PARK, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2008) – The C.W. Post women's cross country team finished second at the East Coast Conference Championship Saturday afternoon at Sunken Meadow State Park.
Adelphi University was the top team, finishing with 20 points with their top five runners finishing in the top seven.

Nicole Wissler# (Mineola, N.Y.) crossed the line first for the Pioneers and sixth overall with a final time of 21 minutes, 06.14 seconds and garnered ECC First Team honors. Junior
Kristen Sweeney (Kennebunk, Maine), who finished at 22:13.90, was named to the Second Team.

Thomas Brouillard (Syosset, N.Y.) was the first Pioneer to cross the line on the men's side. Brouillard finished the race with a time of 29:37.24, placing 16th out of a field of 66 runners.
Theodore Cruz (Albertson, N.Y.) finished the race with a time of 31:51, taking 31st place.
Anthony Walcott (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) was the third and final male Pioneer to cross the line, taking 33rd place.
